Carly Fiorina Expresses Strong Opposition for Planned Parenthood

Carly Fiorina expressed her strong opposition to Planned Parenthood’s findings during Wednesday's GOP debate. Fiorin even cited an issue of harvesting fetal tissue and the videos hat at firsts raised the issue.

Fiorina, former Hewlett-Packard CEO, said a recent Planned Parenthood video shows a fully developed fetus on the table, with its heart beating, its legs kicking. “Anyone who has watched this video tape, I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain”, Fiorina said.

Fiorina was talking about the video tape released by the anti-abortion group the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) in the last month. The tape shows a former worker for StemExpress, a biomedical research company, saying that she saw a fully formed fetus's heart beating.

Holly O'Donnell, a former procurement technician for StemExpress, said in the video that it was the most gestated fetus she has ever seen. Further in the video she said she was just sitting next to the fetus and its heart was beating. She said she was puzzled, she didn’t know what to do next.

But the clip Fiorina references are not part of the CMP sting video but was instead taken by another anti-abortion group that was added to the sting video. The Center for Medical Progress, however, didn’t give any details on where the fetus video was shot, so it is not clear whether it was taken at a Planned Parenthood clinic or not.
