Carla Bruni admits she’s locked in endless beauty contest with other First LadiesLondon, Oct 7 : French First Lady Carla Bruni has confessed to being in a never-ending beauty contest with other First Ladies across the world.

Bruni, 41, the wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, has now unveiled a new website to give the world a peek of her former glamorous supermodel days.

Bruni believes America’s Michelle Obama, and Princess Letizia of Spain, are her biggest glam rivals.

She also recollects a visit to Spanish capital Madrid earlier this year “which was once more an opportunity to compare the styles of First Ladies,” the Daily Express quotes her as writing on her site.

She continues: “As with Michelle Obama, it is a beauty contest between Princess Letizia, a former star journalist, and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

“From their Louboutin shoes to their Azzedine Alaïa dresses, the essentials are all there.”

The site also recalls Bruni’s encounter with Michelle on June 6, 2009, when the duo came together for the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Normandy landings and says, “both dressed in white”.

It adds: “According to Vanity Fair Michelle Obama is one of the world’s 10 best-dressed women.”

Another posting compares Bruni to US Prez JFK’s wife Jackie Onassis, a fashion statement maker of her times.

According to the website, Bruni “has to face history with a cool head and smile on her lips”. (ANI)
