As a latest step towards technological innovation, Lenovo Group wants to make an individual stand for itself. The company has released what according to it is the first dual-screen notebook computer.

Lenovo, the world’s No. 4 personal computer maker is launching this new laptop this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

It should be noted here that the demands for the notebooks have continued to show strength even when the overall PC demand has been hurt by the global economic slowdown.

In a significant move, the government on Sunday appointed Deepak Parekh, chairman of Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd, NASSCOM's former president Kiran Karnik and former SEBI member C Achuthan as the three musketeers of its choice to guide the software exporter Satyam out from the disaster. The new team is considered as a true combination of experts from banking, IT and law backgrounds.

Due to heavy traffic, the release of first public beta of Windows 7 has been delayed by Microsoft. As of now the company is working on putting more network infrastructure in place to support demand.

"Microsoft is delighted by the overwhelming interest and will post an update to the blog once the additional capacity has been added and Windows 7 Beta 1 is ready for public downloads," said Brandon LeBlanc, a communications manager on the Windows Client Communications Team.

Logitech, at CES this week, demonstrated the Harmony 1100, which will be successor of the currently available Harmony 1000.

The New Harmony 1100, is dominated by a 3.5 inch touchscreen is quite a dish to look at. However, it should be noted that the device is quite prone to sticks and stalls.

Furthermore, the device also rather dependent on being pointed in the right direction, despite using RF wireless capability that Logitech says "lets you control devices that you keep behind closed doors, even those you can't see."

Various mobile and smartphone manufacturers are targeting high end consumers in India. The latest to join the bandwagon is a phone by Nokia dubbed as 5800 XpressMusic touch-screen phone.

Satyam Computers is likely to terminate services of about 10,000 employees by next month. The IT giant has strong workforce of 53,000 employees and future of many of them is hanging in dark following revelation of largest ever corporate accounting fraud by its controversial head, Mr. R. Raju.
