India is all set to make its first ever 3D videogame, which will be based on Aamir Khan’s record-breaking movie ‘Ghajini’, a hugely popular thriller about a man with short-term amnesia.

There are great expectations that India’s first 3D video game would transform the country’s slow-growing animation and gaming market all the way up to $1.3 billion this year.

While making the announcement, Mr. Sashi Reddy, head of FX labs, which developed the game stated, “There are no Indian games so we wanted to bring Indian games to the audiences here and we built India's first 3D game.”

Leading software exporter of country, HCL Technologies announced its quarterly results for the period ending December 3, 2008. It posted 12.1 per cent increase in net profit for the third quart of current financial year.

The company signed many deals in technology, manufacturing and life science sector during the period which helped to increase its business and revenue. The company added new clients including Deutsche Bank, Microsoft, Xerox, Cisco and Viacom during the period.

The largest engineering company of country, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) bought 7.56 per cent more stake in beleaguered Satyam Computer Services and increased its stake to 12 per cent on Friday. It bought 1.18 crore shares at a price of Rs 35.07 per share through open market.

The U. K. market recently witnessed the official launch of the long-rumored 10-inch Acer Aspire One netbook by Acer. The motive behind the launch of this 10-inch screen net-book is primarily to update its popular 8.9-inch Acer Aspire One and also to serve to the needs of mobile employees.

Gianfranco Lanci, president and CEO of Acer, said in a statement, "Despite the recent problems of the financial markets and general economic uncertainty, the netbook and notebook markets will continue to grow in 2009."

In the midst of economic meltdown, chipmaker AMD had been making hard efforts competing with rival chipmakers. However nothing seems to be helping for AMD, which otherwise is the second largest chipmaker of the world and has gained significant market share in various markets across the world.
