San Francisco  - Google on Tuesday apologized for an outage that struck possibly millions of users of its email system, Gmail, earlier in the day.

"The Gmail outage that affected many consumers and Google Apps users worldwide is now over. Users should find that they're able to access their email now without any further problems," said Acacio Cruz, Gmail site reliability manager, in a blog posting.

In order to prove that it can recover from the Barcelona disaster with Shanghai, AMD recently demonstrated working Istanbul six-core silicon.

The company which had had three demos to show off showed the fist with four sockets, and the last with two. A different feature of the new CPUs, cores, virtualization and compatibility was showed off by each. Unfortunately, there were no announcements regarding the speed, prices, or availability.

In the first demo, the core count was demonstrated in which four sockets were presented, each running a six-core Istanbul CPU is 24 cores.

If adhered to the reports which have come to light recently, this week could see arrival of Yahoo's long-expected reorganization under new chief executive Carol Bartz.

The reports put forward by a well known newspaper which cited sources within the company claim that revamp will probably start Wednesday, though it's likely to be rolled out in stages.

A new significant marketing officer position is expected to be created by the reorganization. It will also persuade all senior executives to report directly to Bartz.

A novel website dubbed Microsoft Elevate America was unveiled by Microsoft on Sunday, which basically is a portal developed to help consumers, students, and other interested parties with some basic computer skills.

The state governments, including Florida, Oregon, and Washington would be able to avail a complementary version of the site with discounted certifications.

It was confirmed by Adobe on Thursday that major security vulnerability is present in its Acrobat and Reader software.

In its security advisory, Adobe informed, "This vulnerability would cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. There are reports that this issue is being exploited."
