Authorities have said that a teenage rodeo rider is dead after being trampled by a bull rodeo in Valemount, British Columbia.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police identified the victim as Makwala Derickson-Hall of Westbank-Oliver, The Vancouver Sun has reported.

The youth was fatally injured Friday night after being bucked off the bull, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. has reported. The CBC further said that he was transported to a hospital where he died.

About 200 spectators witnessed the incident, which was being investigated by the provincial coroner's service, the Sun has also reported.(With Inputs from Agencies)
