BSNL Plans To Strengthen Its Broadband Connectivity In Malappuram
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is ready to strengthen its broadband connectivity in Malappura by offering up 30,000 novel connections in 2012.
The company also planned to offer up one lakh novel cell phone connections together with 5,000 novel landline connections in the district during the said period.
Mr. D M Ezhil Buddhan, general manager of BSNL, Malappuram stated, “BSNL will focus on both service and network improvement.”
Out of the 4.5 lakh mobile clients who transferred to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited from other operators in the state of Kerala, about 27,000 were from Malappuram telecom region.
Mr. Buddhan stated that this was because of the faith cleints had in BSNL service.
As part of its growth actions, 125 2G and 100 3G mobile towers will be set up in Malappura.
The telecom giant will also set up, in its exchange centres, 20 more broadband booths.
At present, it has 16 such kiosks.
The Iruvetti exchange in Areekode and the BP Angadi exchange in Tirur will get substituted by high tech exchanges.
The company has also decided to offer 1,000 new Wimax connections in 2012. The wireless broad band service is already accessible at 26 regions in Malappuram.
BSNL functionaries stated that the company had launched five novel plans comprising roam free plans, 3G for you, 2G super, 3G data card, combo plan for 3G, and 2G clients for its cell phone customers.
In addition, BSNL has also launched online bill payment service for landline clients in Malappuram.
