Britney is Britain’s most searched Internet term

Britney SpearsLondon, December 1: Britney Spears has claimed the title of being UK’s most searched term on Yahoo.

The pop diva has been on a rebound from her pair of hospitalisations and a series of erratic behaviour, including her infamous head-shaving in 2007 and her 55-hour annulled Vegas marriage with her childhood pal.

The ‘Oops, I Did It Again’ hit maker gave ‘Big Brother’ and ‘The X Factor’ a run for their title with the reality shows bagging second and third spot respectively in the search list.

The singer further edged out Brit rock band ‘Oasis’, whose seventh studio album, ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ hit the shelves in November, to number four followed by Disney’s ‘High School Musical 3’.

"It is fascinating to look back over the last year and see the stories, personalities and subjects that have captured our imagination, some of which continue to be the hot topics of today," the Telegraph quoted a spokesman for Yahoo Europe as saying.
