British e-bike specialist Cairn Cycles launches latest E-Adventure Gravel Bike
Cairn Cycles, the UK’s premier e-bike specialist, has officially announced the launch of the latest version of its E-Adventure Gravel Bike, which boasts robust alloy frame and cutting-edge Sram Rival drivetrain.
Just like many other iterations of the E-Adventure, the new e-bike model is built around a 6061-T6 alloy frame, which ensures a perfect balance of lightweight design and affordability while also keeping the price low.
The Cairn E-Adventure 1.0 Rival comes equipped with the Fazua Ride 50 system that comes from the world-renowned Porsche. Although it lags somewhat behind the Ride 60 system, the Fazua Ride 50 system continues to be an impressive piece of technology. It delivers a peak power output of 350 watts and 58 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. As it comes equipped with a compact 252-watt hours (Wh) battery capacity, in contrast to the Fazua Ride 60's 430 Wh of energy storage, it is a lightweight e-bike that tips the scales at only 14.3 kg for the medium-sized frame.
Describing the new e-bike, the British brand’s official website states, “By combining the frames' versatility-focused geometry, a lightweight Ride 50 Street Drive Pack, and the reliable capability of SRAM's Rival drivetrain, the E-Adventure is ready for everything from your daily commute to a weekend-long adventure.”
Like the majority of gravel e-bikes, the Cairn E-Adventure 1.0 Rival has been designed with versatility in mind. Thus, it allows easy customization that suits personal preferences. To accommodate this, the manufacturer has integrated a range of mounting points for fenders, water bottle holders etc. One of the most interesting additions is a convenient bottle opener that has been incorporated into the e-bike's rear thru-axle lever. Furthermore, for enhanced off-road capabilities, there is an option to upgrade the e-bike’s front end with a suspension fork.
The robustness of the frame has been complemented by the sturdy Hunt x Cairn E-Gravel disc wheels, which are known for their durability. The 25-mm wide rims provide flexibility in tire selection, but the bike comes standard with tubeless-ready Vittoria Terreno Dry tires that boasts a triple-compound construction.
When it comes to pricing, Cairn Cycles has introduced a limited-time special offer for the E-Adventure 1.0 Rival, making this premium e-bike exceptionally enticing at just £2,789, a significant discount from its standard retail price of £3,489.
