Brit gambler pockets record £2m on online fruit machine!
London, Nov 21 : A gambler has broken records by claming the largest amount won from a British bookmaker after winning more than 2 million dollars on an online fruit machine.
The 49-year-old jackpot winner won his 2,086,585 pounds prize on the Coral MegaJackpots Cluedo game.
The game is an online slot machine, with the traditional symbols of cherries and bells replaced by characters from the Cluedo board game, such as Colonel Mustard and Miss Scarlett.
Players can stake between 2p and 5 pounds a line.
The lucky computer engineer from Portsmouth, Hants, matched five symbols on the Internet game to claim the prize money which had been rolling over for a year.
However, the winner had only just opened an account with the bookmakers with an offer to receive 10 pounds in free bets when he made a deposit of 10 pounds and placed a 50p bet on Nov 12.
"This jackpot game is played by people all over the world and the prize fund had built up to this record-breaking amount,” The Telegraph quoted Coral spokesman David Stevens as saying.
He added: "We''re delighted a coral. co. uk customer has scooped the lot. For one person at least, the credit crunch is no longer an issue."
He also said that it was the single biggest prize ever won from a British bookmaker. (ANI)
