Boucher’s farewell postponed following murder of agent’s father

Mark-Boucher.jJohannesburg, Jan 4 : Cricket South Africa (CSA) and Castle Lager’s farewell day for legendary South African wicketkeeper Mark Boucher, which was scheduled to take place on day three of the Test match between the Proteas and New Zealand at Newlands has been postponed at the request of the former glove man.

The farewell will now take place during the Test Series between the Proteas and Pakistan next month, Sport24 reports. CSA Acting CEO Jacques Faul said Boucher has made the request to postpone the farewell following the sudden death last night of former Western Province cricketer John Commins, who is the father of his agent, Donne Commins.

Faul extended his condolences on behalf of the CSA family to the Commins family and friends. Commins was tragically murdered on Wednesday night. (ANI)
