"Bomb in my pocket" remark delays Danish crown prince's flight
Copenhagen - A flight taking Denmark's Prince Frederik and Princess Mary to Chicago was delayed two hours at Copenhagen airport after a fellow passenger quipped that it was "funny they never found the bomb in my pocket", local media said Sunday.
The reports said the 43-year-old Dane who made the remark during check-in was detained after Saturday's incident and he faced a hefty damages claim from the airline involved, SAS.
Security personnel ordered all passengers, including the 40-year- old prince and his 37-year-old wife, off the plane and had it searched before clearing it for take-off two hours later.
The eldest son of Queen Margrethe II, and his Australian-born wife were beginning a week-long programme of visits to Chicago, Nebraska, Colorado and New York. dpa
