Anees Bazmi failed to create a magic with his latest comedy Welcome. Welcome is a movie with a weak story and poor direction. Sanjana (Katrina Kaif) is playing as younger sister of notorious don, Uday Shetty played by Nana patekar. Shetty is desperate to marry his sister to some guy from a decent family. The dialogues aren’t nicely written and the movie fails to make audience laugh. Uday Shetty’s associate Majnu Dada helps him in finding a match for his sister. Majnu Dada is played by Anil Kapoor.

The cast of the movie is strong. Ashhay Kumar and Anil Kapoor are very good at comedy, but the director has failed to make good use of both these superstars in Welcome. The movie was promoted nicely and audience was expecting much more from the movie. However, the second part of the movie is quite boring.

Sanjana falls in love with a ‘white collar’ guy Rajeev played by Akshay Kumar. The only hindrance now is Rajeev’s uncle, Dr. Ghungroo, who is determined not marry him to a girl from mujrim’s family. It is not a well-written film and even experienced comedy actor Paresh Rawal couldn’t help.

The first half is better than the second. Nana patekar and Anil Kapoor get in few laughs with some comic situations. The second half is not good. The comedy turns into complete stupidity. The climax of the movie is one of the looniest in Bollywood flicks. Akshay Kumar is off color and Katrina Kaif has failed to present herself in her best colors.
