Bhutia scores against Ballack's team in a charity match
Bhaichung Bhutia had a memorable night at the Allianz Arena, when he scored two goals against Ballack's 'Cation' team in a charity match organised here to raise money for 'Goal 4 Africa' project.
The match was organized by former Dutch International, Clarence Seedorf and Brazil striker, Ronaldo. The 'Goal 4 Africa' project is inspired by Nobel Laureate Nelson Mandela's dream of "Education for all - all for education".
Seedorf and Michael Ballack were leading the teams, 'Edu' and 'Cation', respectively. Seedorf's side 'Edu' lost to Ballack's team by 6-9.
Bhaichung Bhutia showed some good moves and in the 33rd minute, he chested the ball and striked the goal with a powerful left footer.
Later during the match, Seedorf laid the ball for Bhaichung's second goal for his losing team.
The match was the first event of a two-year programme aimed at raising 90 million Euros. However, the match lost much of its sheen with several top international stars missing out of it.
Arsenal's Robin Ven Persie, AC Milan goalkeeper Nelson Dida, Dutch star Mark van Bommel, Italian World Cup winner Gennaro Gattuso and Bayern Munich's Ze Roberto were the few big names besides Ballack and Seedorf.
