Benazir and I are struggling for Pak: Sharif

Lahore, Dec 6: Nawaz Sharif and Benazir BhuttoPakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto and he have resolved to struggle for their country together.

Both are united for restoring Pakistan’s, Sharif told reporters in Muzaffarabad.

“I do not seek votes from the nation ... I need their cooperation and support to save Pakistan,” Geo News quoted him, as saying.

Denying any deal with President Pervez Musharraf, Sharif said he could have returned to Pakistan seven years earlier if he had chosen to make a deal.

Sharif alleged that Musharraf had “murdered” the judiciary to ensure his re-elections as president.

Musharraf should have resigned rather than destroying the Supreme Court, he added.

Terming the upcoming general elections as a “fraud”, Sharif vowed to counter inimical elements them with force.

“I would rather go to jail, than compromise on national interest,” Sharif said. (ANI)
