Baltic foreign ministers to meet Tuesday to discuss Georgia

Georgia calls on Abkhazia to reopen bordersMoscow - Three Baltic foreign ministers are due to meet informally on Tuesday in the sea resort town of Jurmala in Latvia to discuss a common position on Georgia.

Latvia's Maris Riekstins will meet with Estonia's Urmas Paet and Lithuania's Petras Vaitiekunas to discuss Georgia ahead of the European Union's foreign ministers meeting later this week, the Latvian Foreign Ministry announced Monday.

The Baltic states support a tough EU stance against Russia over the Russian-Georgian conflict that erupted in August. (dpa)
