Bale feels Real's acquisition of Rodriguez underlines La Liga's status as best league
London, July 54 : Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale feels that the club's 71 million pounds latest acquisition of James Rodriguez has underlined La Liga's status as the best football league in the world.
Rodriguez has reportedly joined a huge number of stars in Spain, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Toni Kroos with his move to the Spanish League club. Luis Suarez will also be in action for Barcelona once his four-month ban ends in October.
Bale said that the Spanish League is the most exciting and the world's top players play there, The BBC reported.
Real spent a world record 83.5 million pounds on Bale last summer and the Welshman marked his debut campaign by lifting the Champions League for the Spanish club.
Bale said that Barca or Real are always there, near the Champions League final or winning it, and added that the Premier League is a great league but they are attracting the best players to La Liga.
Rodriguez has enhanced his own reputation by winning the Golden Boot at the World Cup for scoring the maximum number and also scoring the goal of the tournament for Colombia against Uruguay, the report added. (ANI)
