Aziz meeting Hurriyat may affect dialogue: Khurshid
New Delhi, Nov 12 : India Tuesday expressed strong disapproval of the meeting between Pakistani prime minister's foreign affairs advisor Sartaj Aziz with Hurriyat leaders, saying it would be "counter-productive" towards meaningful dialogue between the two countries.
External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid told media persons here that India has "done a great deal" to build public opinion in favour of a dialogue with Pakistan, and such actions by Pakistan are not encouraging but counter-productive.
"If there is a desire for a meaningful dialogue, conducive circumstances have to be created," Khurshid said.
"It would be necessary for Pakistan to keep in mind India's point of view, sentiments and sensitivities" for a result-oriented dialogue, he said.(IANS)
