Avril Lavigne fires manager to resurrect her career
New Delhi, Dec 14: Avril Lavigne has fired her manager and management company in a bid to revive her flagging career, according to reports.
The ''Girlfriend'' singer's last album, 2007''s "The Best Damn Thing," sold more than 5.4 million copies worldwide, failing to live up to the eight million sales of her previous LP, 2004''s "Under My Skin."
The crooner, apparently, has blamed Nettwerk mogul Terry McBride for her lack of success, reports the China Daily.
A source told gossip blogger Perez Hilton: "Avril is hoping that new management can help her new album be more successful than the last."
The 24-year-old - who is desperate to resurrect her career - has reportedly now signed a new deal with Irving Azoff and his management company, who look after Christina
