Australian stocks join global uplift
Sydney - Australian stocks were in demand Friday on a positive response from investors to the Group of 20 leaders' meeting in London and surprisingly strong trade figures.
The ASX 200 rose 56 points, or 1.5 per cent, to 3,738. Australia scored its second-best monthly trade surplus in February, with sales to China hitting a record high while imports dwindled. (dpa)
