Apple will likely launch iPad Mini at its traditional ‘music event’ in October
With speculations galore that Apple is likely to launch its small-sized tablet - the much anticipated iPad Mini, as it is referred to - in September or October, new rumors about the tablet's likely release have been making rounds of late.
According to an All Things D report, citing some perceptive observations made by tech blogger John Gruber about the iPad Mini's launch, the smaller tablet will probably be released by Apple some weeks after the unveiling of the next-generation iPhone on September 12.
Expressing the opinion that Apple will likely hold two separate events - one in September, and the other in October - to introduce the new iPhone and the iPad Mini, Gruber reasoned that since the iPhone is "too big, too cool, and garners too much attention," Apple will probably try to ensure that the attention of the media and the customers on its new handset remains "undiluted."
In the opinion of Gruber, the possibility of Apple holding two separate events for unveiling the new iPhone and the iPad Mini makes a lot of sense because that way the company will get more media attention for its two important forthcoming devices.
Projecting that the September event for the new iPhone will likely witness Apple "focused solely on the new iPhone and iOS 6"; Gruber said that the, in October, Apple will apparently hold "its traditional 'music event,' exactly along the lines of the events at which they've been debuting new iPods for the last decade."
