Apple’s ‘Mac OS X Leopard’ Achieves Milestone In Just 4 Days Of Its Launch

Apple’s Leopard has achieved sales of 2 million units in just four days of its release on October 26, 2007.

Apple CEO, Steve Jobs said, “Early indications are that Leopard will be a huge hit with customers.”

The Apple’s Mac OS X Leopard 2 million sales mark comprised copies sold at Apple Authorized Resellers, Apple’s sales outlets, the online Apple Store, under maintenance agreements, plus (copies) that were bundled with new Mac PCs.

Leopard comes with 300 new features.

Jobs added, “Leopard’s innovative features are getting great reviews and making more people than ever think about switching to the Mac.”

More interestingly, Apple’s Leopard sales have exceeded the first-weekend sales of their Tiger edition of Mac OS X Mac.
     
Leopard OS need a minimum of 512MB of RAM and is configured to work on a Macintosh computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5 or G4 processor.

For a single user license, Apple’s Max OS X version 10.5 Leopard is available at just $129 at the moment. The Mac OS X Leopard Family Pack is a single-household, five-user license pack that costs $199.
