Just celebrating one billion application download achievement of its App Store, Apple has snubbed Trent Reznor by rejecting the singer’s iPhone application. Apple has rejected the updated version (1.0.3) of Trent Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails iPhone app – “nin: access”.

Trent Reznor, who operates under the studio name Nine Inch Nails, reported the rejection of the updated version of the Nine Inch Nails iPhone app – nin: access by Apple, via his account on the social networking and micro-blogging website Twitter. Reznor has reported that the updated “nin: access” has been rejected because, Apple thought it was containing some objectionable content.

In its rejection, Apple has made references to the band’s album “The Downward Spiral,” but according to Reznor, the song was not part of the updated version (1.0.3) of “nin: access” iPhone application.

The Nine Inch Nails iPhone application nin: access received superb response from fans when it was first previewed and released in mid-April. The rejection of NIN app update 1.0.3 by Apple has once again put Apple’s app selection criteria under question. The rejection of NIN app update 1.0.3 is definitely little disappointing outcome for Reznor, who’s reportedly got engaged to his girlfriend Mariqueen Maandig, popularly known as “Q,” recently.
