Apple eyeing the video gaming market
The all new Apple iPad is going to be the new destination for the video gamers. The device has a record sale since it was introduced in the market.
Around 450,000 Apple iPad devices have been sold in the first five days of sale. But more interestingly, over 830 video games have been developed to suit the large format, high definition, multi-touch screen features of this latest sensation. The gaming market is growing at an enormous speed and the number of gamers is increasing very fast day by day.
It is clear that Apple is trying to capture this market with its new iPad device. iPad is a mix between a smartphone and a laptop and can play nearly 25,000 iPod Touch and iPhone games on it.
Senior Vice President of publishing at Gameloft, Gonzague de Vallois said that the iPad has become the fourth step in the gaming evolution after microcomputer, game console and the smartphone being the first, second and third respectively. Hence, Apple will never like to loose such a platform of the vast video gaming world.
