Amputee files report against Woman for Wrongly Parking at Her Spot
A humble request to ask someone not to park in a spot reserved for Ohio woman with a prosthetic leg drew a surprising reply.
Ashley Brady, 26, of Miamisburg, lost her right leg in an accident last year, reported CBS Columbus affiliate WBNS-TV.
They further told that Ashley has now learned to walk again with the prosthetic limb, but she was facing some trouble negotiating her apartment complex's parking lot in winter conditions.
Therefore, she asked the complex to get her a spot near her unit. Few days later, Brady found someone else parking in the spot allotted to her.
Brady seeing this left a simple note requesting the women to keep out of the spot. But what Brady got in reply was really shocking for her. The reply note had some crass remarks on it. The woman used words like handicap and ‘cry baby one leg’ that were quite hurting for Brady.
Brady said, “I read it probably like five times over and over because my brain just couldn't even process the level of mean that it was”.
Later, her sisters posted the letter on Facebook, hoping to spread awareness of the struggles that people with disabilities face every day.
After Brady and her sisters shared the note online, she received plenty of support as well as advices to contact the police and have had the car towed if the woman parked in that spot again.
Brady told ABC22 that she even received a feedback online from a lot of other amputees who have been in similar situations.
She further told that she has filed a report with the local police.
