AMD releases new Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition CPU
Just at the time of its 40th anniversary, the Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has rolled out its new Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition CPU, which is believed to have great potential for making sales in the currently staggering economy.
The new AMD Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition CPU is dual core CPU with a 65nm quad core Phenom with two cores disabled. It is a dual-core processor running at 2.8 GHz. It is based on the same Kuma core like 7000 series Athlons.
The new X2 7850 Black Edition is multiplier unlocked. The X2 7850 BE CPU features 512 KB of L2 data cache per core (1 MB total L2 per processor) and 2 MB of shared L3 cache. According to AMD, the X2 7850 BE CPU delivers a superior dual-core, performance / price ratio. The CPU is priced at $69 (approximately Rs. 3,500).
Additionally, the AMD has released a new Radeon HD 4770 GPU with the price tag of just under $100 after a $10 rebate.
