Allergy Experts offer Tips as Spring Season has just begun

It's awesome to see trees, flowers, plants and grass flourishing again after all it's the beginning of the spring season. But it's certainly not so good for people who have allergies caused by pollen. With the beginning of the spring season, people experience a gamut of colors and soul-pleasing smell. However, it also brings a severe plight for people who have allergies as it causes itchiness in eyes, sore throats and other symptoms of allergies.

A person with allergy told NewsChannel9. com that it's not at all fun to have runny nose, sore and itchy throat, watery eyes and itchy eyes. Seasonal allergies become a bane of life for people who have allergies and they start visiting allergy clinics with the arrival of allergic seasons.

Amount of pollen has increased significantly over the last week or two, said Todd Levin of Chattanooga Allergy Clinic. Nathan Sharpe had suffered allergies for the past many years and he said that his sleep gets badly affected by trees and grass and pet allergies. As a result, it becomes very difficult for him to be attentive or have a proper focus.

Doctors suggest people with allergies to go for medication available over the counter to seek respite from allergies.

Levin has suggested keeping homes free of pollens and if you are outside then must wash your hair and remove your shoes before entering home to not bring that pollen inside your house.

"Pollen count is highest between 5 a. m. and 10 a. m., and again at dusk, so plan your workouts for other times of the day when pollen levels are lower", says Tonya Winders, CEO of the Allergy and Asthma Network.

Keep the windows closed and limit exposure to known allergens as much as possible during the peak of allergy season, said allergy experts.
