Subsequently to the appointment of Anuj Kapur as Telcordia Technologies’ country head for Service Delivery Solutions, the mobile phone service provider Aircel has announced that it has contracted the global communication software service provider, Telcordia Technologies to deploy the Telcordia Real-Time Charging solution to power its pan-India network.

Aircel has reported that after successful trail of the Telcordia Real-Time Charging solution for five months, it has given the contract to Telcordia Technologies to deploy the Telcordia Real-Time Charging solution to power its pan-India network rollout and support the introduction of interactive, real-time services and tariff plans.

In a statement, the joint venture between Maxis Communications of Malaysia and Apollo HOspitals Group of India – Aircel said that Telcordia Technologies has been awarded a five-year, multi-million dollar contract for Telcordia Real-Time Charging, a flexible charging and policy control solution for their mobile prepaid subscribers.

The Telcordia Real-Time Charging solution is the part of the Telcordia Service Delivery Suite that not only provides real-time charging, but policy control and rapid service creation also.

The next generation prepaid services in high growth and highly competitive markets are increasing going for the real-time charging solution.

Meanwhile, Telcordia Technologies has appointed Anuj Kapur as head of its Service Delivery Solutions in India. Telcordia is relying upon Anuj Kapur’s 20 years of experience in sales, distribution, marketing, business development, and corporate strategy. Kapur has done MBA from Delhi University, and he has working with the companies, such as Samsung, Alcatel and Alcatel-Lucent.
