The users of social networking and micro-blogging service, Twitter can now be the part of the Resistance Army to joint the human resistance against the machines through first-ever game created for the social networking platform, Terminator Salvation Twitter game from Sony Pictures Releasing International.
In Terminator Salvation Twitter game, Twitter is used by the human resistance members to communicate with each other to help in decoding intercepted Skynet transmissions. The points are earned through timely assistance in decoding these messages. The players getting more points rise in rank in the Resistance Army. Commenting on the Terminator Salvation Twitter game, the executive vice president marketing, Sony Pictures Releasing International, Sal Ladestro said, "Twitter users can join John Connor in the war against the machines by following the tweets at Resistance 2018. In the fight against Skynet and the Terminators, mass communication is vital, so it's no surprise that the resistance would turn to Twitter. Terminator Salvation, directed by McG, is the fourth Terminator film. The film stars Christian Bale as John Connor, Sam Worthington as Marcus Wright, a cyborg who believes he is human, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, Common, Jane Alexander, Jadagrace, and Helena Bonham Carter. The movie will be released on 21 May, 2009, in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures. Sony Pictures Releasing International will be distributing the film in most international territories between 27 May and 13 June 13, 2009.
Meanwhile, Gameloft has announced to release a new third-person action filled Terminator Salvation iPhone game, based on the Terminator Salvation movie.
