Acer launches two new entry-level eMachine notebooks – D525 and D725 – in IndiaSticking to its recently announced multibrand strategy, Acer has launched two new entry-level eMachine notebooks – D525 and D725 – in the Indian market. The eMachine D525 and D725 notebooks are the perfect picks for the people looking for affordable laptop computers

The new 14-inch eMachine D525 notebook is based on the celeron platform. The eMachine D525 features 14-inch LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1366x768 pixel resolution, and an integrated 0.3 megapixel Webcam. The eMachine D525 comes equipped with Intel Celeron M900 mobile processor with dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM, 160GB HDD, and 8x DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive. The eMachine D525 notebook is available for Rs. 24,999.

The 14-inch eMachine D725 notebook is based on the Pentium dual core platform. The eMachine D725 features integrated 'low-luminance enhanced' webcam, touch pad pointing device, and quick launch keys. The eMachine D725 uses dual-core Intel Pentium T4200 processor with dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM. It comes equipped with 160GB HDD, and 8x DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive. The eMachine D725 notebook is available for Rs. 27,999.      

Additionally, the eMachine D525 and D725 notebooks come with Windows Vista with Service Pack 1, and pre-installed eMachine Comprehensive Security Bundle, which includes 60-day trial copy of Norton 360 All-in-One Security.
 
Currently owned by Acer, the “eMachines” is a low-cost PCs brand based in Irvine, California. It is one of the most successful brands in the computer industry. The brand was previously owned by Gateway, which Acer acquired in 2007.
