Access Your Yahoo Id In Hindi; Send Free SMS's!

New Yahoo MailYahoo and Yahoo India both have fascinated users with their new launchings.

Yahoo India has disclosed that its Indian users will soon be capable of accessing Yahoo! Mail in Hindi language. The latest features consisting exclusive ability to interpret and write email in Hindi in addition to an all-new Hindi interface.

In beginning, the users of Yahoo! Mail Hindi will have to make use of Hindi typescript to get access to the new service, but the company told that it would be incorporating Hindi software into the service rapidly.

John Kremer, Yahoo Mail Vice President said, “In India, languages are key and Hindi is the most important language. Internet is becoming increasingly popular in tier II and III cities as well and there is big shift in the market towards providing localised products. We would grow our users by penetrating Yahoo Mail in Hindi speaking regions.”

Additionally, Yahoo! India has also made announcement of ‘Yahoo! Messenger for the Web’ in the Indian market. Now, the users do not require downloading the Yahoo! IM client, and they can directly chat via their browsers.

The new service also allows users to chat in different languages including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, and Gujarati.

On the other hand, Yahoo has declared a free Web mail service that will enthrall its users with free text messaging services in four different countries comprising India.

IM Swaminathan, director, communications and community products, at Yahoo’s Bangalore centre said that the service, which previously available only to Yahoo’s instant messenger users, is now accessible through the Web mail.

However, it would take 2-3 weeks to straighten as Yahoo has over 22.5 crore users throughout the world.

Mr. Swaminathan said, “If you click on the tab that says Text Message, you can compose an SMS. It is free.”

But anyone responding will have to pay for the SMS sent back. The latest service could also save money on international SMS messages, and also help desk-bound people transmit messages directly to people moving ahead.
