Accel Frontline Acquires XLNC Infotech; Stock Surges 6%

Software firm Accel Frontline Ltd (AFL) has signed up a share purchase Software firm Accel Frontline Ltd (AFL)agreement to purchase the entire subscribed and paid-up share capital of a Bangalore-based warranty management services firm, XLNC Infotech Solutions Pvt Ltd.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed up till now.

XLNC, which provides repair services for multinational original equipment makers, will become a 100 percent subsidiary of AFL, a 51 percent owned subsidiary of BT Frontline providing IT services for companies.

Accel also offers warranty management service for a range of IT product vendors, and the acquirement will provide a good synergy among the two companies, an Accel official said.

For the year ended March 2008, XLNC has posted a turnover of Rs 52 million. It has a test and research centre, and a team of 40 engineers.

At 11:20 am, AFL shares gained 6% at Rs 86.50 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
