In a significant move, Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra has declared to come up with a nationwide chain of 500 public schools. According to Abhinav, the main aim of these schools will be to impart quality education, training in sports and develop the overall character of the future generation.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, the Olympic gold medalist said that he always wanted to have a chain of public schools & no time other than the present could be more opportune to embark upon such an ambitious project. The schools shall be christened "Abhinav Bindra Ace Public Schools" (ABAPS).

In order to keep an eye on its performance, Abhinav would personally visit these schools on regular basis. The motto of the school will be “Fortes Fortuna Juvat" (Fortune Favours the Brave). 

“The schools will be opened on franchise basis. They will be co-ed English medium, residential public schools, affiliated with the CBSE, Delhi. They will be ‘the best’ he said. He also disclosed that the architectural design, sports and other facilities would be the same in every school.
