Abhishek To Address 13th Wharton India Economic Forum
At the 13th Wharton India Economic Forum to be held in Philadelphia on March 21, Big B’s loving son Abhishek Bachchan will speak as part of a panel exploring the difficulties and workings of Hindi film industry.
Junior Bachchan will address an elite and eclectic audience that includes moguls, political leaders and professionals from all over the world who will come together to share their viewpoint and sight on this year's theme ‘Road Ahead for India’.
Abhi, who is set to be the first Bollywood actor to address Wharton, will grace the occasion as a guest speaker and diplomat from Bollywood, and he will talk about the working principles and nuances of the industry.
Apart from Abhi, other eminent Indians including former sportsmen Sunil Gavaskar, Geet Sethi, Vijay Amritraj, Sabeer Bhatia, film director Rohan Sippy and politician Rahul Gandhi will also share their vision for a new India.
Abhishek will also address the students and staff of posh business school in the US.
It is also indicated that the 33-old-actor has taken this opportunity very seriously, and he is penning his speech entirely on his own.
Abhi’s friend revealed, “It’s a big honour, considering Bollywood is still in its infancy and considering actors all over the world have been labeled intellectually challenged from the 19th century onwards.”
His friend also told that Abhi rushed to Malaysia for one day’s shooting of ‘Paa’, came back to Mumbai, and is utilizing all his free time polishing up his speech.
“He’s taking his role as a spokesperson at the international forum very seriously,” added his friend.
Young Bachchan, refusing to be disturbed from preparing his speech, just said, “It’s a big honour to represent our film industry.”
