Abdul Kalam Agrees To Become NIU Visitor
Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that former Indian President A P J Abdul Kalam has responded favorably to the proposal to don the post of visitor at the purposed Nalanda International University.
Mr. Nitish broadened the offer when he met Abdul Kalam in New Delhi on Sunday.
He added that Mr. Kalam has accepted the offer, and ready to guide the administration in setting up the university.
Kumar also provide the essential information to Kalam about the gradations being accepted by the Bihar Government for establishing the NIU.
Kumar told that Kalam’s plan in 2006 had actuated Bihar government to launch the international university at Nalanda, the olden Buddhist seat of learning in the state.
The Bihar State University Of Nalanda Act 2007, presents that the visitant will have the abilities to make up the administration.
The university’s vice-chancellor and regulations would be framed in discussion with Kalam, the Chief Minister added.
