Ace Bollywood actor-director Aamir Khan has apologized for posting infamous entry on his blog that he has a dog by the name of `Shahrukh Khan.’

The unflattering remark on www.amirkhan.com had raised a countrywide controversy inviting criticism not only from SRK’s buffs but also from the film industry at large.

While talking to reporters, Aamir said that he shares a healthy relationship with King Khan.

“Shah Rukh is a very dear friend of mine. I have the highest respect and regard for him. That blog [post] was in good humor. Lot of people thought it [was] really funny. Some of my fans felt I should not have said that. Those people who were uncomfortable by that post or disturbed by it - my sincere apologies,” Aamir added.

Aamir referred to Shah Rukh as not the Badshah but “the dog that belongs to the caretakers of my Panchgani home”.

But, Shahrukh took the comment in a sporting manner.

King Khan said, “I have to take it sportingly because I have that kind of sense of humour. So if somebody is doing it with me, I have to accept it.”
