New Delhi: After Bollywood actor Salman Khan`s tryst with the infamous black-buck (chinkara) case, now it`s Aamir Khan`s turn to face the music. According to reports, the Gujarat high court on Friday began the final hearing process of the case that was filed way back in 2006.

A leading daily reports that the case was filed against the actor and the crew of his film `Lagaan`, which was released in 2001. However, a petition was filed only after six years in the Bhuj court over allegedly killing a chinkara during the film shoot.

Reports suggest that J V Vyas, an official with the Kutch forest range had filed a complaint in 2006 against seven members of the `Lagaan` team, claiming that they `illegally` shot a chinkara. Following this complaint, 49-year-old actor moved the HC in 2008 seeking to quash the such allegations stating that they were not involved in this case.

Aamir further stressed that the film shoot was wrapped in 2000, why has the petition been filed against the team only in 2006, after a gap of six years. The next hearing of the case has been set for Monday.--PTI
