15 killed in road crash in central India

New Delhi - At least 15 people were reported killed and 19 injured when their truck overturned in India's central state of Chattisgarh on Monday.
Eleven people were killed at the scene and four succumbed to their injuries in hospital after the truck overturned in the Awarajharia area, the PTI news agency reported quoting police.
The injured were taken to hospitals for treatment in Awarajharia, 525 kilometres north east of state capital Raipur.
Road accidents are common in India and are usually caused by rash driving, overloading and poor condition of roads and vehicles. (dpa)
