12 Hour 800 foot deep underwater: a notable fete
A recent story states that a good old man dived under water for continuous twelve hour duration with his customized gear that was devoid of nay oxygen tanks.
The man named Dave Shaw an oldie-but-goodie, as reported from Outside magazine narrates the outstanding fete achieved by this deep-water diver who swam more than 800 feet down into a freshwater cave to retrieve the body of a fallen diver, which itself is a herculean task.
It was further reported that the scuba gear used in the task was a self-assembled closed-circuit re-breather set that actively filtered self breath and converted back into breathable air for consumption.
It was an admirable and distinguishing fact that led the man carry no oxygen tanks of his own, on top of this it allowed him to stay underwater for 12+ hours following which he took the body and slowly returned to the surface without getting the bends.
