The subsidiary of search giant Google, YouTube celebrates its fifth birthday today. 18th May five years back, Google had introduced this product to the web and had provided its users an all new experience of watching online videos.

In these five years YouTube has developed as a major player among the online video sites. It has managed to provide its users millions of video clips as per their demand. It has developed itself as a major wing of the world number one search engine giant Google.

YouTube's co-founder and chief executive Chad Hurley has said that YouTube has received a huge demand in the market from its million users and it will continue this service with even a better platform. He has also said about some of the upcoming investment plans of the company.

Chad has said that even today he is considering Google's $1.65 billion acquisitions of YouTube was a risky one, although it has proved to be an effective and smart acquisition later. Google had bought You Tube at the end of 2006.
