BSEAsian stocks fell, dragging the MSCI Asia Pacific Index from a one?year high,  as  the  dollar  weakened  and  New  Zealand  retail  sales unexpectedly fell.
 
The Fed and other central banks may adopt different strategies for ending monetary stimulus because they have diverging views on the role of bond purchases in stoking economic growth. The Fed's statements suggest it considers buying assets as a stimulus, while the BoE view may be that holding onto the bonds also aids the economy.

The financial markets are showing signs of normalising, with interbank money markets recovering to levels not seen since early 2008, the world's biggest central bank body said on Sunday. "Despite uncertainty about the pace of economic recovery, investors remained cautiously optimistic in the period between end? May and early September 2009," said the Bank for International Settlements. In particular, "in interbank money markets, key spreads narrowed to levels not seen since the beginning of 2008".

U. K. producer prices rose for a sixth month in August as the cost of raw materials jumped the most in more than a year, a sign inflation pressures are persisting in the economy. The price of goods at factory gates climbed 0.2% from July, when it rose at the same pace. Economists predicted a 0.3% increase, according to the median of 18 forecasts in a Bloomberg News survey. A ruble devaluation won't solve Russia's economic problems as the world's largest energy exporter faces "a very difficult next couple of years," said European Bank Chief Economist Erik Berglof.

In India with some regions of the country receiving late but increased rainfall, water reservoirs have risen about 35% in the past one month, turning the energy availability further positive. The level of water stored in 81 reservoirs across the country has increased from 38% of the total capacity of 151 bcm last month to 51% of the capacity currently. The rain deficit for the June?
