World’s costliest party in Dubai turned out strip-search hell for celebs
Melbourne, November 24 : Celebrities like Lily Allen and Rhys Ifans are shocked after being subjected to a traumatising strip-search following their arrival in Dubai for the globe’s most expensive party.
Allen, who was amongst the many other high profile guests such as supermodel Agyness Deyn and her rocker beau Albert Hammond, had been invited for the 20 million dollar four-day bash at the Atlantis Hotel, the world''s most expensive resort.
The Brit pop icon, who had previously confessed to drug consumption beginning at the age of 13, revealed that despite being guiltless the intimate strip-search had left her ‘terrified’.
"I was strip-searched, which was so nice as soon as you arrive. I knew I didn’t have anything on me so I wasn''t worried. I wasn’t paranoid, just terrified," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling the Daily Mail.
Similarly, Welsh actor Ifans was also reportedly left ‘violated’ after he was severely examined by the Dubai Customs officials for a full-body search.
A travel companion said: "He had to hold his private parts out of the way while an officer did a thorough inspection. After nearly two hours of being interrogated and molested he was told to put his clothes back on and go on his way.”
An insider added: “Many of them (celebrities) feel very shaken and violated by the strip searches. Its ruined their trip.” (ANI)
