The Walt Disney Company India and UTV Motion Pictures have announced an agreement according to which The Walt Disney Studios will take charge of home entertainment distribution for some of the key titles from the UTV Motion Pictures studio. The list of the titles to be distributed under the deal includes blockbusters like Raajneeti, What's Your Raashee?, Aage Se Right, Udaan, Harishchandrachi Factory and I Hate Luv Storys.

This deal adds to the Walt Disney Studio Home Entertainment's growing retail presence, through distributing and marketing of the famous titles across Indian audiences.

Besides this distribution deal, the media giant will also hunt for more local opportunities in order to reach to a larger number of Indian viewers and serve them with a more detailed range of content across various languages.

As Mahesh Samat, Managing Director, The Walt Disney Company, India said in a statement that even though Disney India's home entertainment business went direct early last year but we will look forward to distribute our own Disney title along with key titles from UTV's film slate. This will bring great stories and content to the small screens in a big way.

The channel is gaining on its increasing popularity among kids.
