Volkswagen launches the Polo ‘Made in India’ campaignAfter Volkswagen exercised a couple of road-blocking techniques for establishing the German brand in the Indian market, it has recently launched a `Made in India' campaign for the much awaited Polo, a car with a price starting at Rs 4.5 lakh, that is expected to heat up competition in the small car segment.

Notably, the small car segment has seen much of an action from players like Maruti and Hyundai for years now but with the entry of players like Ford, GM, Nissan, Volkswagen et al in the small car category, the competition has surely heated up over the past few months.

In fact, Players like Honda and Toyota are also ready with their plans to make a lot of noise in the domestic passenger car market. Lutz Kothe, chief general manager - marketing and PR, Volkswagen India said that the company is highlighting the `Made in India' factor with the latest campaign. Kothe further added that it is in sync with the Volkswagen strategy of Think Global, act local.

The campaign created by DDB Mudra and executed by MediaCom, clearly displays the made in India factor in the Polo which is rolling out of the Chakan plant in Pune.
