If you are an actress, make-up is your all time companion, at least that was the perception which film audiences harbored till today. However, a forthcoming Tamil film movie titled ‘Thenmerkku Paruvakaatru’ is all set to change this perception. If reports are to be believed, lead actress of ‘Thenmerkku Paruvakaatru’, Vasundhra Chiyertra will appear on screen sans make-up for her role of a village girl in the film. Confirming the statement, the actress says that it was director Cheenuramasamy who ordered her to shoot without make-up for his film.

Vasundhra Chiyertra further explains that not only could she not apply make-up and visit the parlor for her primary skin care routine, the actress was also asked to leave her hair uncombed when she appeared in front of the camera. Vasundhra, coming from the world of modeling and glamor, recalls how she was initially shocked at the prospect of acting in a film without applying make-up. However, it was because of the dedication that her director showed in the film that she was convinced to shoot without make-up. Her role of a village girl also required the actress to get a tan on her fair skin, which too became easy after shooting under the scorching sun for long hours.

Kollywood film ‘Thenmerkku Paruvakaatru’ narrates the story of a mother – son relationship. It is still in the stages of filming.
