US Embassy Worker booked for Threatening Women to Post their Private Photos

Michael C Ford was arrested last week after he was accused of cyberstalking hundreds of women. Ford was a worker at the US embassy in London and lived in the UK since 2006. He threatened women to post their private photos if they didn’t agree to what he demanded.

Prosecutors said that Mr. Ford obtained sexually explicit images of women by hacking their accounts. They added that the stolen images were used by Ford as tools to threaten women. He asked them to shoot videos of other women undressing.

As per the court documents, he wrote to one victim that she must shoot videos of sexy girls changing if she didn’t want her photos to be posted. He suggested the victim to find their targets in gyms, clothing stores, pools etc.

When the victim didn’t meet the demand of Ford, he wrote a follow-up email to her that she had crossed the deadline and he was soon going to post her pictures online and also send them to her friends.

Ford, 35, allegedly extracted the women's passwords through phishing scams using his State Department computer at the embassy.

“He targeted women at US colleges and universities and was looking for women who were members of sororities … and aspiring models. He is just relentless”, said Mona Sedky, a lawyer with the US Justice Department.

US State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf confirmed on Thursday that Ford was no longer providing his services to the embassy as an administrative support employee.
