Ulster bank planning to repay customers after technical issue
Ulster bank has said that it is planning to repay its customers after technical issues in the bank's network affected salary and other payments.
The bank, which is owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland, has said that its euro customers waiting for transfers and wages that were paid into their account has been delayed due to a technical issue and also pointed out that the issue has been resolved and payments are being processes.
A spokeswoman for the bank said:, "Some files were delayed through our payment system overnight on Wednesday and these payments have now been made. We apologise for this delay and if any customers have been left out of pocket, we will put this right."
Ulster Bank has said that it will repay expenses to thousands of customers who were not able to access their wages and pensions after the payment system was affected for the second time on the same night. The bank did not announce the number of customers who were affected due to the issue but clarified that anyone who suffered losses due to the lack of payments can claim losses with the bank.
