Ullrich to talk about doping allegations at "a given time"
Hamburg - Former Tour de France champion Jan Ullrich said on Tuesday in the wake of the latest doping allegations that he will give his view "at a given time."
Citing a police investigation report, Der Spiegel news magazine said that Ullrich went to Madrid 24 times 2003-2006 to see doctor Eufemiano Fuentes, the man at the centre of the Spanish probe Operation Puerto.
Ullrich, 35, who was kicked out of the T-Mobile team over the affair in 2006 and then retired, has dismissed all doping accusations.
On Tuesday, he named the latest report "a repetition of known allegations" and "provocations" in a statement on his website.
"I don't want to further fuel the debate, but, as said before, I will give my view of the issue at a given time," the 1997 Tour champion Ullrich said. (dpa)
