TrustPower CEO Keith Tempest to quit

Keith Tempest, TrustPower's chief executive has planned to resign from the job at the end of this year. Tempest has been working on the post for the past eight years.

TrustPower chairman Bruce Harker said today that Mr. Tempest who has worked at TrustPower for 23 years in total, wanted to continue his involvement in the wider business community in more of a governance role.

In order to appoint a new chief executive, the board has planned to quickly start the process, looking for internal and external candidates.

TrustPower is major power company with 50% stake owned by infrastructure investor Infratil.

In New Zealand, the company has 36 small to medium hydro stations and the Tararua wind farm and a wind farm at Snowtown in South Australia.
