Toyota launches new Innova, Fortuner at Auto Expo 2012Japanese auto major, Toyota has revealed a new version of Innova, a revamped Fortuner and the Etios Liva Racing Concept at the ongoing Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.

The largest automotive show in India saw a lot of action on its first day here at New Delhi's Pragati Maidan. Maruti began the show with the launch of its concept SUV, the Xa Alpha, while Hyundai unveiled the all-new Sonata and the Hexa Space.

Nissan revealed MPV Evalia, which was revealed by Bollywood heartthrob, Ranbir Kapoor. Tata Motors was not left out and launched a series of models. The show is expected to see models from Toyota followed by GM, Renault, Hero MotorCorp, Polaris, Piaggio and more.

International players are increasingly looking at the Indian market because it is one of the very few markets offering growth prospects compared to the stagnated markets in the developed world. Indian market also has a huge potential for growth in the coming years as the car ownership is still low in Asia’s third largest economy.

Global auto sector is focusing on India to drive growth as the demand comes to a standstill in western markets. The Auto Expo 2012 with its theme, ‘Mobility for all’, is expected to attract a huge number of people in India to newer models that are affordable and offer the best technology in the world.
